Well, so much for my goal...

OK, so it's been three weeks since I posted...as usual, my goal has gone out the window. LOL I could list all the excuses why I haven't posted, but instead, I'll get on to my post. Why dwell on the past?

I officially have a 6-year-old! We celebrated Dominic's birthday yesterday, and had a pretty good day. He says he had a fantastic day, which is all the matters to me and Mel. I am continually amazed at what a little man he is becoming. If we really monitor his diet, he's such a great kid. He's so helpful, and does a wonderful job keeping an eye on his brothers. He was really good yesterday, even let Connor play with his new toys.

We went to Caesarland yesterday. The boys had a great time, but that place is the most depressing restaurant I've ever been in (it was our first time). It was so dimly lit, and a lot of the games are old. We don't plan on returning any time soon.

Then we went to Target because Dominic received a card with $6 from his grandpa and had to spend it. He was so cute...knew exactly what he wanted and when he couldn't find it he had no problem choosing an alternative. He took it up the the counter himself, got out his Spiderman wallet and pulled out the money to give to the cashier, and put his change back in his wallet.

Afterwards we went home and had cake and brownies while we watched Mythbusters (one of Dominic's favorite shows). Although, he spent more time playing with the new toy he purchased than eating. It was a really good day.

I think this weekend we will go to the Silver Leaf Ren Festival in Kalamazoo. We're trying to get out and do as much as possible to "train" the boys before we make the trip to Disney. Dominic has a hard time going to new places (he doesn't like to be out of his comfort zone, even if it's someplace he winds up loving), so we're trying to throw in as many new places as possible. We're also eating at restaurants because that's something we never do. When we get to Disney, I want the boys to be used to all the experiences we'll have so that we won't spend the whole time dealing with fits.
